With exports valued at $26.5 billion in 2021, Mexico was the second largest food and agricultural export market for U.S. exporters. Its tourism sector is a main macroeconomic driver and contributed 7.1% to Mexico’s macro economy in 2021. Mexico’s tourism and hospitality sectors are quickly rebounding. Mexico’s food processing industry is the 12th largest globally, and the third largest in the Americas following the United States and Brazil. Mexico’s fast-growing food retail sector continues to offer promising opportunities for U.S. products.
Buyers will spend two full days in each state. WUSATA participants will have tailored business meetings to showcase products to potential buyers in the food service sector.
