2023 Mexico Onion Inbound to Idaho and Oregon

September 19 - 20, 2023

Due to great success in past years, we are glad to announce another delegation of 5 Mexican onion importers and buyers set to visit Southwestern Idaho and Eastern Oregon. The focus will be meeting with shippers, visiting fields/packing sheds, and sourcing onions. We have recently seen the number of loads sold out of the Idaho-Eastern Oregon region increase more than 4.5 times compared to previous years. We are excited to continue promoting Idaho-Eastern Oregon onions and hope to increase that number this year.

The mission will include group meetings with Mexican onion importers and buyers and, as time allows, visits with onion growers and packing sheds around the Idaho-Oregon border, including the growing areas of Parma, Idaho, and Nyssa, Oregon.

Benefits of Participation:

- Make contacts with Mexican buyers specifically interested in sourcing onions from the Idaho-Eastern Oregon region.

- Onion shippers will have the opportunity to establish a business relationship with and promote their products to key customers throughout Mexico.
