The Western U.S. Agricultural Trade Association (WUSATA®) and the Colorado and Nevada State Departments of Agriculture announce participation and registration in the following activity, which is brought to you by the USDA's Foreign Agricultural Service:

2023 Japan Pet Products Inbound Mission to CO/NV

June 26 - June 30, 2023

Pet food is set to continue to increase in both retail volume and current value terms over the forecast period, thanks to the continuous increase in the pet population. Although Japan has a traditional business culture that had largely limited working from home, a growing number of firms mandated or recommended remote working for staff due to COVID-19, and this flexible style of working is expected to continue for many even once the threat from COVID-19 has diminished. This will result in more people staying at home for longer, and therefore lead to greater demand for pets as companions or as a way to relieve stress. Also, social and demographic shifts, such as the increasing number of senior and single-person households and small housing, especially in urban areas, will continue to militate against the ownership of larger pets, such as dogs, boosting demand for other pets. This event will allow you to meet one-on-one with pet products buyers from Japan locally in Colorado and Nevada. Buyers will travel to Nevada for two days and to Colorado for two days. Don't miss this opportunity, come meet buyers from Japan looking for pet products!
