Brazi Bites is based out of Portland, Oregon and they have been a Western United States Agricultural Trade Association (WUSATA) participant since 2015. They utilize WUSATA’s FundMatch program, which is funded through the USDA’s Market Access Program (MAP). David Bondioli, the Director of Club Sales at Brazi Bites explained the significant impact the FundMatch Program had in 2022. “FundMatch allows us to leverage a more aggressive marketing/product demonstration strategy in the Canadian market for our food products. FundMatch has allowed the enhanced strategy to be executed in a more financially viable way that would otherwise be difficult with our current resources.” In 2022 Brazi Bites contracted an additional, local, co-packer to keep up with products being exported to Western Canada.
Bondioli and the team look forward to their continued participation. “WUSATA has been pivotal to the success of Brazi Bites in the Canadian market, allowing it to be a financially viable business venture. Brazi Bites will continue to grow and expand our product's distribution in foreign markets with the help from WUSATA.”
